US POPULATION GROWTH

OVERALL SUMMARY

The US Population is expected to grow 4.2% cumulatively from 2017 to 2022. This equates to a growth of 13.8 million people. This is a slight slowdown compared with 2010 over 2017 which saw a growth rate of 6.1%, or a growth of 18.8 million people. The overall population of men compared to women is 49.3% versus 50.7% women as of 2017. The overall population is estimated to be 341.32 million people in the United States by 2022.

Men are expected to grow 4.4% from 2017 to 2022 growing by 7.09 million. This preceeds a similar growth from 2010 to 2017 of 4.4%, or 7.54 million people. The overall population is estimated to be 164.4 million men in the United States by 2022.

Women will grow 4.0% from 2017 to 2022 growing by 6.72 million. This is down from a 7.3% growth from 2010 to 2017, or 9.22 million people. The overall population is estimated to be 172.9 million women in the United States by 2022.
